摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AF-MF switching mechanism for a lens barrel capable of realizing the reduction of cost and miniaturization. SOLUTION: The AF-MF switching mechanism for the lens barrel is equipped with a distance adjusting ring 11 made concentric with a fixed ring 3 having a stopper groove 31a, prevented from moving in an optical axis O direction, freely rotating around the optical axis, moving a lens holding ring 9 in the optical axis direction by its rotation and having an engaging groove 33a, and a switching ring 17 made concentric with the ring 3, freely moving in the optical axis direction and rotating around the optical axis, switching AF and MF by moving in the optical axis direction between AF and MF positions and further having engaging members 39 and 41 selectively engaged in either the stopper groove or the engaging groove. Furthermore, the member 39 of the ring 17 is engaged in the stopper groove at the AF position so as to regulate the relative rotation of the ring 17 to the ring 3, and the member 41 of the ring 17 is engaged in the engaging groove at the MF position so that the rotational force around the optical axis of the ring 17 may be transmitted to the ring 11, so as to move the ring 9 in the optical axis direction, and also driving force from a driving source may not be transmitted to the ring 11.
