PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a providing method for a broadcast program capable of replacing a defective video output even on the occurrence of temporary deterioration caused in a reception state, and to provide a receiver for receiving the broadcast program, and a transmitter for transmitting the broadcast program. SOLUTION: A delay buffer 112 delays video data coded by a coding section 106, and delay buffers 115, 116 delay the coded video data in a delay time decreased more than the delay time of the delay buffer 112 by an interleave time length or over. Then a system coding multiplexer section 117 multiplexes the coded caption data from the delay buffers 112, 115, 116 to generate a data stream and a demodulation section 119 and a transmission section 122 broadcast the data stream.
