PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sticking of the rear face of a heat developable photosensitive material on the front emulsion face of a heat developable photosensitive material by which transport becomes impossible when heat developable photosensitive materials are cold-stored at≤10°C in piles, set to ordinary temperature, charged into the light shielding cassette of a developing machine and used. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has a photosensitive emulsion layer comprising a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent capable of reducing the non-photosensitive organic silver salt, and a hydrophobic binder on one face of a support and has a back coat layer on the other face of the support. A rate of change of the water content of the photosensitive material per 1 m<SP>2</SP>measured under the conditions of 23°C and 80% relative humidity to the water content measured under the conditions of 23°C and 20% relative humidity is≤20% and the water content in each case is≤1 g.
