PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam printer (an image forming apparatus), with which the manufacturing cost of circuit boards can be reduced, by reducing kinds of the circuit boards and by using the circuit boards not having a heat radiation function. SOLUTION: The laser beam printer is provided with the one circuit board 9 which is made of paper phenol not having the heat radiation function, is disposed on the exterior of a frame 2, and is packaged with two, a semiconductor laser driving circuit 7 and a motor driving circuit 8, a motor mounting member 3 which has only the motor mounting function, a flexible cable 10 which serves to connect the circuit board 9 disposed on the exterior of the frame 2 and the motor 4 installed within the frame 2, and a flexible cable 11 which serves to connect the circuit board 9 disposed on the exterior of the frame 2 and a semiconductor laser 6 angle adjustably installed alone within the frame 2.
