PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter control device of excellent responsiveness when controlling slip. SOLUTION: In the torque converter control device comprising a torque converter 1 to transmit the rotation from an engine to an automatic transmission, a lockup clutch 2 to control the transmission of rotation between input and output elements of the torque converter, a lockup control valve 3 to control a fastening state of the lockup clutch, and a controller 5 to command the fastening state of the lockup clutch to the lockup control valve according to the running condition of a vehicle, the controller has a compensation means S109 to perform advance compensation to an instruction value to be output to the lockup control valve when the lockup clutch performs the slip control.
