PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling method for contents and an apparatus for the same, by which the contents are supplied and filled separately and sequentially into a container one by one easily without jamming its opening with bridging content articles in filling a prescribed number of the content articles into the container, irrespective of a size or shape of the opening of the container. SOLUTION: The filling apparatus supplies a prescribed number of the contents to the container's upper opening to fill the container with the contents by dropping them from above into the container. The apparatus comprises an upwardly extended content guide means having a content supply part set at a position that makes it confront or come in contact with the container opening, and a content supplied part forming the upper part of the extended guide means. The contents are supplied one by one from a content supply means having a supply timing adjusting means to the guide means. In a process in which the supplied content is guided by the guide means and dropped into the container opening, a following content article is transferred through the guide means and filled into the container after preceding one content article has been supplied from the supply part of the guide means and filled into the container.
