PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply suspend washing in a room on a rainy day by using a space that is not used previously for a convenience sake. SOLUTION: Two arm-shaped members are crossed and rotatably connected by a pin and are suspended by pinching a downward protrusion of a beam of a room. The opposite ends of the arm-shaped members are connected by a stringy member. By suspending washing, or the like, from the stringy member, the washing pinches and grasps the beam by its deadweight and is suspended. The suspender body is provided with holes or a coarse surface to open and close and hold by fingers. A guide mechanism is provided between stringy member mounting portions. By changing the direction of tension of the string, the weight of the washing is efficiently converted to the strength of grasping the beam without being affected by the angle of opening and closing of the suspender body.
