<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which has high compatibility with a DVD-ROM and excellent shelf stability and on which satisfactory repeated recording at least at four times speed and satisfactory recording by a recording pulse waveform using a multi-pulse of a 1T period with ≤15 mW recording power at 1 to 2.4 times speed can be performed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium has a lower protective layer, a recording layer, an upper protective layer, a sulfuration preventing layer, a reflection layer and an interface layer on a transparent substrate provided with a meandering groove. The transition linear speed measured by irradiating the optical recording medium with continuous light having 11±1 mW power using a pickup head having 660±10 nm wavelength and an NA of 0.65 is in the range of 8 to 11 m/s. The difference ΔR=absolute value of (Rb-Ra) between the reflectance Rb in an unrecorded state and the reflectance Ra of the upper part of an eye pattern after 10 times repetition recording is within 3%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
