<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which directly produces dry ice pellets from a lump of dry ice and is improved so that the apparatus constitution can further be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing dry ice pellets consists of: a casing (2) for storing the lump dry ice; a cylinder device (4) arranged at one end side of the casing (2) and pressing the lump of dry ice (70) toward the other end side with a press plate (41); and an extruding die (3) arranged at the other end side of the casing (2) and provided with many nozzles (30). The other end side of the casing (2) is pivoted so as to be freely swingable, and one end side can be therefore diverted from the track of the press plate (41) and made open. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
