PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping damage preventing device for preventing erosion of piping on the downstream side due to jet currents emitted from a pressure reduction valve. SOLUTION: In this piping damage preventing device, a deflecting means 30 is disposed on a tapered outlet tube 4 of the pressure reduction valve 1 to reduce pressure of high pressure water to be jetted for deflecting the jet currents flowing in an enlarging direction along an inner wall 4a of the taper outlet tube 4 in such a direction as to prevent enlargement of the jet currents. The jet currents along the tapered outlet tube 4 of the pressure reduction valve 1 are thus deflected by the deflecting means 30 in such directions as to prevent enlargement, so that collision of the jet currents with an inner wall 24a of the piping 24 on the downstream side coupled to the tapered outlet tube 4 is eliminated, thereby erosion of the piping can be prevented.
