PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor, a data processing method, a program for making a computer execute the data processing method, and a recording medium with the program recorded thereon with which a required scene is freely selected out of media contents. SOLUTION: Context content description data have a data structure part describing a plurality of segments representing scenes of the media contents composed of a plurality of scenes and an attribute part where a viewpoint represented by at least one keyword representing a scene, a score representing the degrees of importance of the segments based on the viewpoint, and link information indicating a link to at least one corresponding segment, being attribute information of the media contents, are described, such the context content description data are inputted, and on the basis of at least one of the viewpoint and the score described in the attribute part, the segment is selected out of the data structure part.
