The wiper bearing for the shaft of a motor vehicle's windscreen wiper system has a fastening section (3) in the form of a spindle and tube holder (6) upon which the end (5) of a mounting tube (4) is fitted. Radial holes (7) are provided to enable caulking of the tube in the fastening section. The holes in the fastening section lie opposite and centered with regard to the center axis. Several cylindrical individual holes in the form of radial blind holes may be provided in the spindle and tube holder. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of a mechanical and form locking connection between a wiper bearing and tube end of a windscreen wiper system.
