Information appropriate for a user current position is delivered to a cellular terminal such as a cellular telephone. Each user has an element for reading information stored inside from outside. An information delivery system has for each user: means for accessing a user database containing an element ID inherent to the element by a user correlated to a cellular terminal mail address, and means for accessing a Web site database containing a Web site URL for each Web site correlated to location information indicating a location concerning information presented by the Web site. In stores and on streets, there are installed readers having a function to read information stored in the element located in the vicinity. The system receives an element ID read by the reader from the reader, references a Web site database, and extracts URL of a Web site having location information appropriate for the location of the reader which has transmitted the element ID received. By referencing the user database, the system acquires a mail address corresponding to the element ID received and transmits a mail containing the extracted URL to the mail address as a destination.
|
