PROTEIN SYNTHESIS SYSTEM USING XENOPUS OOCYTE EXTRACT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acellular protein synthesis system using a Xenopus oocyte extract, better in protein synthesis efficiency than methods using conventional oocyte extracts and microinjection into the oocytes.

SOLUTION: The acellular protein synthesis system in the form of an acellular protein synthesis kit comprises an extract prepared from Xenopus oocytes transferred from a condition being in standstill at the 1st stage of the 1st division of meiosis in cell cycle to the initial stage of maturation, an energy reproduction system, and at least one amino acid.
