<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generating device capable of generating not only high-order harmonic components, but also a harmonic component which is one octave below. <P>SOLUTION: Since a Duty value is set within the total cycle D of a front-half waveform 39 and a latter-half waveform 40 on the basis of the total cycle D (made constant) and waveform data is deformed according to the Duty value to generate musical sound data, not only higher harmonic components, but also the harmonic component which is one octave below can be generated by varying the Duty value and harmonic components can variously be varied. The front-half waveform 39 and latter-half waveform 40 can be set as the same kind or different kinds of waveform data and the rate (Tone value) of the front half-half part can be set as to the front-half waveform 39 and latter-half waveform 40 respectively, so a timbre can variously be varied through those settings. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
