<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based pigment ink for inkjets having excellent dispersion stability, causing no nozzle clogging and having a high density of a printed part, excellent image sharpness and even excellent rubbing resistance when carrying out inkjet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The ink comprises a pigment coated with a hydrophilic polymer for printing on an inkjet recording medium having an ink receiving layer having <100 nm maximum peak in a void distribution curve in an aqueous medium. In the ink, the ratio (A/B) of the pigment (A) to the hydrophilic polymer (B) is (60/40) to (95/5) expressed in terms of mass ratio of solid content. The average particle diameter of the pigment coated with the hydrophilic polymer is ≥100 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
