<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silk fiber for an artificial hair capable of exhibiting desired curl or crimp easily and a method for producing the artificial hair by using the silk fiber. <P>SOLUTION: This silk fiber for the artificial hair is obtained by twisting by using a raw silk with a refined silk, a first raw silk and second raw silk having different fineness, a raw silk obtained by adhering a plurality of first silk worm cocoon monofilaments having a prescribed fineness and a raw silk obtained by adhering a plurality of second silk worm cocoon monofilaments having a larger fineness than that of the first monofilaments, a first refined silk and second refined silk having different refining rates, a first twisted silk yarn and second twisted silk yarn having different number of twists per unit length, or a twisted silk yarn and non-twisted silk yarn. By bringing the silk fiber in contact with a neutral salt solution, the curls and crimps are developed and then the fiber is dyed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
