PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film (e.g. a polarizing plate protection film or a phase difference film) having a low water vapor permeability and an improved dimensional stability, a phase difference film with suppressed retardation variation, a polarizing plate and an antireflection film both excellent in durability, and manufacturing processes for them.

SOLUTION: The organic-inorganic hybrid film mainly comprises a cellulose derivative and a polycondensation product of a reactive metallic compound capable of hydrolysis polycondensation and contains 1-20mass% plasticizer.
