PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management method for utilizing the information of defects generated in a mass production process by unifying the information of development and trial production processes in device production.

SOLUTION: At least one of process conditions in a plurality of processes, the process results and defect expectation data of these processes are connected to a process name or a defect item and then registered in a quality database. A keyword is retrieved from at least one of the process names and the defect items to acquire quality know-how.
