PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a synthetic fiber while suppressing the deposition on the surface of a Nelson roller and preventing the generation of yarn breakage and fluffing, enabling the improvement of the operation ratio and having improved production efficiency. SOLUTION: The method for the production of a synthetic fiber comprises the drawing/heat-treatment of a melt spun synthetic fiber yarn with a plurality of Nelson rollers and the winding of the product. The yarn is traversed in the direction of the rotary axis of the Nelson roller by periodically changing the angle between the rotary axes of two rollers of the Nelson rollers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
