PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delayed photocuring-type adhesive composition suitable for adhering members for hard disks, and to provide a hard disk assembled with the same. SOLUTION: This adhesive composition for hard disks is characterized by containing (a) an alkyldiol diglycidyl ether compound and (b) a photo cation polymerization initiator as essential components. As a preferable form, (c) a compound containing at least two hydroxy groups is further added to the composition, and as a further preferable form, a cation-polymerizable compound is further added to the composition. The adhesive composition for the hard disks can be used even at a place where light can not reach. The production of an outgas is little or the outgas component affecting the hard disks are not produced. The adhesive composition for the hard disks does not lower its adhesive force, even when subjected to an ultrasonic washing treatment in a process for producing hard disks, and can therefore reliably be used as an adhesive for the hard disks.
