PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an agent for controlling soil blight having high safety and capable of keeping and exhibiting practically improved soil blight controlling effect without giving adverse influence on the natural environment. SOLUTION: The soil blight controlling agent contains a cultured product of a microorganism belonging to the genus Trichoderma, a nutrient for the microorganism and an antibacterial substance. The method for controlling soil blight comprises the application of the soil blight controlling agent to the soil for the culture of vegetables or to the seedlings, seeds or seed potato of the vegetable.
