PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing apparatus for diaphragm type pressure regulator for a gas fuel engine capable of measuring flow-rate characteristic by carrying out test of an individual pressure regulator before fitting the same onto an actual engine. SOLUTION: The testing apparatus for the pressure regulator 51 of which inlet is connected to a gas fuel source and of which outlet is connected to an engine side and which is driven to open and close by intake air negative pressure of the engine acting on a diaphragm is provided with a negative pressure pipe 56 connected to the outlet 55, a suction device 60 communicating to the outlet 55 via the negative pressure pipe 56, a diaphragm sensor 52 detecting displacement of the diaphragm, a pressure sensor 57 detecting negative pressure at the outlet 55 and a flow rate sensor 68 provided on the negative pressure pipe 56.
