<p>The invention relates to an instantaneous mechanism which is used to control the date indicator (24) of a timepiece movement. The inventive mechanism comprises: a 24-hour wheel (10) which is pierced with a first hole (12b); a date driving wheel (16) which is mounted coaxially to the 24-hour wheel (10) such that it can rotate freely thereon, said driving wheel (16) being equipped with a pin (18) which is positioned in the aforementioned hole and a tooth (20) which co-operates with the indicator (24) in order to advance said indicator step-by-step every day around midnight; and a spring balance (26, 32) which co-operates with the above-mentioned pin (18). All of said elements are shaped, dimensioned and disposed such that, around midnight, the balance (26) escapes the pin (18) and returns sharply to the rest position thereof, thereby moving the pin (18) and the driving wheel (16) forwards, the tooth (20) of the wheel striking the date indicator (24) in order to advance same by one step.</p> |
