PURPOSE: A local hypothermia protector is provided to make blood flow intermittently by thermal stimulation so that a local hypothermia is not neglected or local tissues are maintained at a low critical body temperature where cells are not damaged. CONSTITUTION: A hypothermia is detected by the technique of detecting a local hypothermia of a human body, i.e., by using a slope of a specific temperature drop curve in the procedure of constricting vessels of local tissues in a resting state with a decrease of an ambient temperature, dropping a body temperature with a decrease of blood flow and re-constricting vessels with a body temperature drop, and by using the fact that the thermal resistance of local tissues becomes constant between a body temperature and an ambient temperature after blood is stopped. The local tissues are maintained at a low critical body temperature state where cells are not damaged by heating to such an extent that does not affect the concentration of mind at a low body temperature.
