摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an optical device so as to have desired temperature characteristics by compensating effective optical length of a part determining wavelength characteristics and phase characteristics in the optical device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical device for controlling characteristic change due to a temperature change of an optical system 31 operated at a single wavelength is joined to one end on an optical axis of the optical system 31, and provided with a chirped grating 10 in which an effective refractive index periodically changes toward an advancing direction of light. A case that a short period side of the grating is joined to the optical system 31 to make a temperature compensating module, and another case that a long period side of the grating is joined to the optical system 31 to make a temperature sensitizing module exist. Furthermore, the optical device is joined to one end on the optical axis of the optical system, and provided with the chirped grating 10 in which the effective refractive index periodically changes toward the advancing direction of the light. In order to control the characteristic change due temperature change of the optical system, the optical device controlled so as to have the desired temperature characteristics can be obtained by compensating the effective optical length of the part determining the wavelength characteristics and the phase characteristics in the optical device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
