PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that repeaters for exclusive use such as a base node and a home server are required and a wired or wireless network must be laid in a home in the case that a plurality of apparatus are operated with a single remote controller. SOLUTION: A remote controller is so constituted that the remote controller sends the IP (Internet protocol) address of the apparatus to be operated before sending an operation command for the apparatus. The remote controller is provided with an IP address input means for inputting IP addresses respectively corresponding to the plurality of apparatus to be operated in the case of operation of the plurality of apparatus, an apparatus switch means for switching the plurality of apparatus to be operated, and an operation command storage means wherein operation commands corresponding to the plurality of apparatus to be operated respectively are preliminarily stored, and the remote controller sends an operation command corresponding to an apparatus to be operated after sending the IP address corresponding to the apparatus linked with the switching to the apparatus to be operated by the apparatus switching means.
