PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a battery which maintains a desired thickness and has excellent battery characteristics and which is superior in mass production nature with low cost and simplicity. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises a process of preliminary charging the uncharged battery in which a power generation element comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution is housed in an outer package member, a process of pressurizing the battery of preliminary charging by a high pressure gas, and a process of finally charging the battery after pressurization.
