PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain reactive power at a drive by reducing capacitance formed at a non-display region of a plasma display panel in the case that metal partitions are used. SOLUTION: The metal partition 16 with a lateral wall 16A extended in a line direction zoning between discharge cells C adjacent in a column direction between a front glass substrate and a rear glass substrate of the plasma display panel and with an outside surface coated with an insulating layer 16a has a groove 16Aa formed at least either on a front side face or a rear side face of the lateral wall 16A.
