PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stress on a rod by compression force from being concentrated even when a frame body shrinks due to temperature, humidity, and change with age, and to transmit compression force to the frame body to make the frame body correspond to compression force sufficiently. SOLUTION: A frame member for a truss for a building is provided with a wooden frame body 10 having an insertion hole in the axial direction, the metallic rod 20 inserted into the insertion hole of the frame body 10, and joint members 30 provided at both ends of the frame body 10. The joint member 30 is provided with a base plate 31 opposing to an end face of the frame body 10 and having a through hole for inserting an end part of the rod 20 in with play and a joint fitting 32 provided on the base plate 31. A locking member 38 for locking for the through hole is provided in the end part of the rod 20. An elastic member 35 is nipped and provided between the end face of the frame body 10 and the base plate 31. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
