PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact cylindrical shaft unit having a large diameter and capable of reducing a cost required for storage and transportation and being transported by a trailer, and to provide a construction method for the cylindrical shaft. SOLUTION: Since this cylindrical shaft unit 10 can be divided into a first partial unit 13 to a third partial unit 15 so as to be folded it freely, each partial unit 13 to 15 is turned to a folding side when stored and transported to fold the cylindrical shaft unit 10. When assembling them at a site, each partial unit 13 to 15 is turned to an assembly side to assemble the cylindrical shaft unit 10. Since the cylindrical shaft unit 10 can be freely folded in this way, the cylindrical shaft unit 10 can be stored in a compact manner and even the cylindrical shaft unit 10 having a large diameter can be transported by a trailer.
