<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a transportation company to develop a new transportation demand by providing a means for supporting the policymaking of various fare discount plans for post pay service. <P>SOLUTION: For supporting the policymaking of various fare plans for the post pay service, (1) riding histories for individual users collected via a ticket examiner, (2) customer information for users registered when applying for the post pay service, (3) ticket information for managing the conditions of electronic tickets held by users, and (4) the utilization factor of a new fare plan set by the transportation company are estimated and how a current transportation demand changes is calculated through simulation. Then, in accordance with the calculated transportation demand, transportation income for a certain period is calculated and compared with a current transportation income and other various influence factors are quantitatively added thereto so that the railway company evaluates and corrects the policymaking fare plan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
