<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronics device and a data management method capable of easily storing, reproducing and managing data such as images and sounds obtained by a user in an intuitively recognizable way. <P>SOLUTION: The user, for example, scrolls through a background image 31 on a display unit using a scroll means, and specifies an area C1 which is a part of the background image 31 on the display unit. The data obtained from an external device are assigned to the area C1 specified by the user as an image 33 which can be displayed on the display unit.
