PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating type head slider capable of floating stably on a disk-like recording medium without colliding with the disk-like recording medium even when inertia force in the direction of pulling away from the disk-like recording medium of large acceleration being several hundred G is applied to the head slider. SOLUTION: The floating head slider 10 is provided with a first air bearing part 1 provided on an air flow-in end side of a base surface 3 and having a plurality of level difference surfaces, and a second air bearing part 2 provided on the air flow-out end side of the base surface 3 and having a head element.
