PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a search request image via a network, search for an image of feature values similar to those of the former image, and transmit the search result. SOLUTION: An image search device receives a search request image via a request receiving means 21, and calculates feature values thereof in a feature value calculating means 23. A feature value accumulating means 24 accumulates feature values of images in an external image accumulation device. An image searching means 25 refers to the calculated feature values and the accumulated feature values to search for similar feature values and identification information thereabout.
