PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage clamping circuit capable of clamping applied input voltage and efficiently outputting output voltage. SOLUTION: The voltage clamping circuit for outputting output voltage obtained by clamping input voltage when the applied input voltage is larger than the prescribed voltage is provided with an input part for receiving the input voltage, a transistor for outputting the voltage of an emitter terminal as the output voltage, a base resistor connecting one end to the input part so that the input voltage is applied and electrically connecting the other end to the base terminal of the transistor, a clamping element for limiting the potential of the base terminal corresponding to ground potential to prescribed potential or less, and a diode connected between one end of the base resistor and the collector terminal of the transistor to prevent the inflow of a reverse current from the collector terminal to the input part.
