PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable long-time adjustment with a small power consumption by picking up a still picture by using an infrared proximity sensor. SOLUTION: A still camera is equipped with an infrared proximity sensor (4) provided on a camera body (1) and configured so as to pick up an image on a film (41) by operating the shutter according to a detection signal (4a) from the infrared proximity sensor (4).
