PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing iturin A and its homologue, by culturing Bacillus genus bacteria producing the iturin A and its homologue and accumulating the iturin A and its homologue in a high concentration in a culture liquid. SOLUTION: This method for producing the iturin A and its homologue comprises culturing the Bacillus genus bacteria having ability of producing the iturin A and its homologue in a liquid medium containing a soybean powder or an extract thereof in an amount of≥2 wt% and accumulating the iturin A and its homologue in the culture liquid, wherein a concentration of the iturin A and its homologue reaches 1.5 g/L or more. A cultured material containing the iturin A and its homologue is given by accumulating the iturin A and its homologue by the method. A solid material containing the iturin A and its homologue is given by drying the cultured material. An agent for controlling plant disease contains the cultured material or the solid material.
