PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a printing plate by which a printing plate to continuously bring about successful printing results is easily manufactured/supplied; the cost of such a printing plate is maintained at a lower level than the cost of a printing plate conventionally manufactured in a usually practical way; and the printing plate can be used without modification at a printing device conventionally used for a printing plate manufactured/constituted in the usually practical way. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a printing plate used for intaglio printing, especially rotary intaglio printing by forming a plurality of cells on the surface of the printing plate, a wear-resistant layer is applied to the surface of the printing plate.
