A method for evaluating the consuming public's interest in an artist or artistic work whereby a talent business can identify and contract an artist of established demand. In particular, the talent business obtains consumer feedback regarding an artist or artistic work over global computer networks and engages an artist in a contract based on that feedback. This talent business is exemplified by a record business but may encompass any talent business, such as in the modeling or script writing industries.
