A power controller which prevents the heat generation of a secondary battery and a sudden interruption of power supply. The power supply from a secondary battery (13) to a system section (11) is controlled by a power control section (12). During this control, the power control section (12) sequentially monitors cell temperature of the secondary battery (13). When this cell temperature exceeds a predetermined warning temperature, the power control section (12) requests the system section (11) to transit to the power-saving mode.
