Advertising on table and bench surfaces, e.g. for catering establishments, uses a direct ink jet printing on to the surface together with a protective ink varnish covering

For a table or bench to carry advertising, the visible surface is printed directly with the advertising message, using ink jet printing and preferably piezo ink jet printing. The printed message is covered by a protective varnish, applied at the same time as the printing, using an ink resistant to UV light which is clear or colored. The printing can be in white, or up to 12 colors, with a resolution of 300-2400 dpi and preferably 600-1200 dpi.
