PURPOSE: Provided is a device for forming pleats for a fabric, which has an arrangement of roller gears capable of easily forming pleats, and reduces the defectives due to the irregular formation of the pleats, thereby reducing the production cost. CONSTITUTION: A device for forming pleats for a fabric comprises a spring for delivering a fabric, and a cylindrical roller and a pleat roller(32) for pressurizing the fabric to form pleat designs. The pleat roller has a plurality of gears(32a,32b). The respective gears have a plurality of planar pleat formation portions formed at their outer circumference, and spaced apart from each other.
