<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light source device with a structure for satisfying a down-sizing need asked of a light source device and well cooling a lamp going beyond an ultimate temperature from a compact liquid crystal projector such as a mobile or an ultra-mobile system and with a reflecting mirror strong enough against heat generated. <P>SOLUTION: In making a concave reflecting mirror, fine particles or liquid is put under slit casting or press molding to make up a molded body, and at the same time, or just after that, a drilling process is carried out to fit a plurality of air vents around a flange of the molded body of a size with which debris at the time of damage of a lamp could not pass through the vents, and after that, the molded body is baked to make up a material for the reflecting mirror and the reflecting mirror. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
