<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new afadin DIL domain-binding protein (ADIP) gene and a use of the new ADIP protein. <P>SOLUTION: This new afadin-binding protein (ADIP) is successfully identified by performing an yeast two hybrid screening in order to obtain an insight in how a nectin and afadin system organizes a tight junction and an adherence junction in an intercellular junction.
