<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and stably detect a hydrogen concentration in a measurement gas and improve reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A porous layer 27, an inner electrode 29, a solid electrolyte layer 28, an outer electrode 30, a diffusion layer 31 and an elaborate layer 32 are sequentially formed on an outer circumference of a heater 22 having an elongate rod shape by using a curved surface printing means etc. A detection element 21 of the hydrogen concentration totally has a circular rod structure. The outer electrode 30 covered with the diffusion layer 31 is formed by using a material having high selectivity to hydrogen, selects the hydrogen from the measurement gas diffused by Knudsen diffusion through the diffusion layer 31 in the direction of an arrow B, and adsorbs the hydrogen. Electromotive force corresponding to the hydrogen concentration in the measurement gas is generated between the inner electrode 29 and the outer electrode 30 radially facing through the solid electrolyte layer 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
