PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a dummy load from an RCC (Ringing Choke Converter) multiple output power supply unit and prevent intermittent oscillation. SOLUTION: Driving power is supplied from an RCC power supply to a stepping motor. When rotational driving or hold driving of the stepping motor is not necessary while this is done, any of the following is carried out: (1) passing such a small amount of exciting current as not to rotate the stepping motor, (2) passing an exciting current at such a high pulse rate as not to rotate the stepping motor, and (3) passing an exciting current in such form as to hold to drive the stepping motor. Thus, an exciting current is constantly passed. As a result, intermittent oscillating operation of the RCC power supply is prevented without connecting a dummy load to output.
