PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component preventing the disconnection of a wire rod due to a change in peripheral temperature. SOLUTION: A coil component is provided with the wire rod 11, a bobbin 20 to which the wire rod 11 is wound, terminals 30 and 31 which are electrically connected to ends 14 and 16 of the wire rod 11 and which have dead-turn wound parts 34 to which the ends 14 and 16 of the wire rod 11 are in a dead-turn manner wound and fixing parts 37 fixing the ends 14 and 16 of the wire rod 11 and a coating member 40 in which the wire rod 11, the bobbin 20 and the terminals 30 and 31 are inserted-molded with resin. The dead-turns wound parts 34 have sheet shapes and form winding faces at faces 35 on one board thickness direction in an outer peripheral face. The fixing parts 37 form fixing faces on flat faces 38 linked to the dead-turn wound faces 35 in the same face. The ends 14 and 16 of the wire rod 11 are fixed to the fixing faces 38, are wound to the dead-turn wound faces 35 from the fixed faces 38 and are spirally wound to the outer peripheral faces of the dead turns of winding 34 comprising the dead-turn wound faces 35.
