PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method of impervious sheets which surely secures an air passage for inspecting a defect in a joint part by interposing an air-permeable member in the joint part, and eliminates a problem like the exfoliation of the joint part even when a pressure inspection is conducted. SOLUTION: The joining method of the impervious sheets is the one to join the impervious sheets 2, 3 made of asphalt or rubber asphalt by heat-melting. The impervious sheet is laid on the adjacent impervious sheet in a state that the air-permeable member 6 having a number of pores is interposed between them in the longitudinal direction of the joint part 1. The impervious sheets are fused on both sides of a part where the air-permeable member 6 is interposed by using a heating machine K having a forked nozzle. Widths of the two lines of fused parts 1a, 1b are in a range of 50 to 150mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
