PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard-coating coated tool for coping with dry cutting, high speed and a high feed rate in cutting work without sacrificing abrasion resistance and the adhesion of a hard coating film superior in oxidation resistance such as a (TiAl)N coating film, and improved in welding resistance in a high temperature and the diffusion of a workpiece element into the hard coating film. SOLUTION: This hard-coating coated tool is alternately coated with one or more layers of an (a) layer of one of nitride, carbonitride, oxynitride and oxycarbonitride whose metal component is composed of Ti and B and a (b) layer of one of nitride, carbonitride, oxynitride and oxycarbonitride whose metal component is composed of Al and Ti. The peak intensity ratio of the (a) layer is I(200)/I(111)≥1.0, and the peak of c-BN and h-BN is detected in a Raman spectroscopic analysis of the (a) layer. When the peak intensity of c-BN is set to Q1 and the peak intensity of h-BN is set to Q2, a peak intensity ratio Q1/Q2 < 1.0 is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
